Watermelon Enrichment for the Aviaries

Our aviaries are equipped with misters this time of year, but another way to keep our birds cool is with refreshing foods that help them stay hydrated. Many members of our flock enjoy watermelon treats, including this violet turaco. Some smashed bird pellets on the melon piece add to the enrichment value.
