Growing Up Zoo
Reid Park Zoo has seen a lot of growth over the years. Reid Park Zoo President & CEO has witnessed lots of that growth firsthand — initially as a guest, then as the daughter of a docent, and eventually as a member of the team.
“From larger habitats to more extensive education programs and dedication to providing the highest level of animal care, I am proud of the Zoo we have grown to be and that we continue to aspire to become,” Nancy said. Check out the video below to hear more about what Growing Up Zoo means to Nancy.
Soon, Reid Park Zoo will break ground on the Pathway to Asia area, which will welcome many new Asian species. Construction will also begin on the new Angel Charity for Children World of Play which will transform the old flamingo habitat at the back of the Zoo into a children’s play and learning zone. Both of these additions will bring our community and, in particular, our children the opportunity to connect with nature through play, observation, and exploration. We are thankful to our generous community and supporters, like you, for bringing these projects to life and helping build the future of Reid Park Zoo.
Would you consider making a donation today to support Reid Park Zoo? This Arizona Gives Day, your donation will go twice as far: Sharon Foltz, a longtime Zoo supporter, has offered to match up to $1,000 in donations made today. Thank you to Sharon for her incredible generosity, and to the entire community for the support.
At Reid Park Zoo, we are honored to continue to grow and grow up with you and your families.
