Reid Park Zoo in Tanzania!

Jambo from Tanzania!

Dr. Sue Tygielski, Director of Zoological Operations, and Jed Dodds, Events and Outreach Supervisor, have traveled to Africa to learn about wildlife, conservation, and the important role that zoos play in protecting critical habitats. Follow along as they safari through the savannah and meet with our partners at the Tarangire Elephant Project, a program within the Wildlife Conservation Society that is supported by Reid Park Zoo conservation funds.

Sue and Jed’s first stop was at Arusha National Park. They had sightings of many exciting species including giraffes, warthogs, and water buffalo!
