International Vaquita Day Celebration

Saturday, July 9, 2016
9:00 am — 11:00 am

Female VaquitaWhat on earth is a vaquita? This critically endangered porpoise lives in the Sea of Cortez, less than 400 miles from Tucson. There are so few of these animals left that if we want to save them we need to act now. July 9th is International Vaquita Day, so please join us this Saturday from 9 – 11 a.m. in the Zoo’s Conservation Learning Center to find out how zoos and aquariums are joining together to save this species, and what you can do to help. You can also make a fun vaquita hat to wear home! Activities are free with regular Zoo admission. Learn more about the vaquita here.
