Backpack Day

The American Federation for Families will distribute 1,000 backpacks to school children on a first-come, first-served basis Saturday, June 24 until noon, or until the backpacks are gone.

The backpacks will be filled with school supplies. Backpacks are available with paid Zoo admission, including memberships.

Children’s admission to the Zoo is free until noon. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult.

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about Empowerment Scholarship Accounts, now open to nearly all Arizona children to use. ESA’s can also help parents pay for private school tuition, home school curriculum, online classes and other education expenses.

Backpacks will be distributed in the Zoo’s Event Gardens.
