Summer Camp at the Zoo

For the 2025 summer camp season, Reid Park Zoo is offering week-long camp sessions for campers going into grades 1-5*.  Each camp will include animal ambassador encounters, behind-the-scenes opportunities, games, and hands-on activities that highlight the following grade-specific topics:

 Grades 1-2: Awesome Animals

We invite your child to come explore the wonderful world of animals with us! Discover what makes a mammal a mammal, a reptile a reptile, and a bird a bird. Throughout the week your camper will engage in activities designed to inspire their creativity, encourage big and small body movement, foster empathy, meet live animal ambassadors, and make new friends.

 Grades 3-5: Adventures of Growing Up

Reid Park Zoo is home to animals of all ages. During the week, your camper will discover how animals learn and grow through play. Engaging activities will help campers explore the important roles animals have once they become adults and better understand how the Zoo cares for animals throughout the different stages of growing up and growing older.

Camp hours are: Monday – Friday from 9am-4pm**

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Registration links are listed below. Please carefully check the grade level for each camp.

Price:
$305 for Zoo Member children (must sign in to get discount; discounted rate shown on payment screen)
$355 for Non-Member children

**This year we will be offering one week of half day camp for rising 1-2 graders  (June 2-6) who aren’t quite ready for a full day camp. We will have the option for a morning session (9:00am-12:00pm) and the option for an afternoon session (1:00pm-4:00pm). Campers are to only be signed up for either morning or afternoon, not both.
The cost of these half day camps are: Members: $130 and Non-Members: $180.

Scholarship funds have all been allocated and are no longer available. Thanks to generous donations from the Bonnie Kay Charitable Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, the Kasser Family, the Hutchens Family Foundation, and an anonymous donor, Reid Park Zoo was able to provide a limited number of camp scholarships based on financial need.

Please note that camp for each grade level will offer the same activities each week. We ask that you sign your camper up for just one session of camp.
