Summer Camp Experience for Grades 6-8
For the 2025 summer camp season, Reid Park Zoo is offering a two-day summer camp experience for students going into grades 6-8. This two-day program will include animal ambassador encounters, behind-the-scenes opportunities, and hands-on activities.
2025 Topic: Animal Wellness
Join us in learning about Animal Wellness at the Zoo with an in-depth look at how the Zoo enables each animal to thrive! In this two-day camp, campers will learn what it takes to be a nutritionist and veterinarian at the Zoo and see how each animal’s space is designed with their natural abilities in mind. With guidance from Zoo staff, campers with also implement their new knowledge to create enrichment for some of the Zoo’s residents.
Camp hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Price for this two-day camp:
$100 for Zoo Member children (must sign in to get discount; discounted rate shown on payment screen)
$150 for Non-Member children
Scholarship funds have all been allocated and are no longer available. Thanks to generous donations from the Bonnie Kay Charitable Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, the Kasser Family, the Hutchens Family Foundation, and an anonymous donor, Reid Park Zoo was able to provide a limited number of camp scholarships based on financial need.

Please note that camp for each grade level will offer the same activities each week. Please register your camper for only one session of camp.
These camp sessions are for those campers going into 6, 7, or 8 grade in the fall of 2025.
