Zoo Explorers – Spring Series – Mammals
Saturday, April 25, 2020
9:00 am — 11:00 am
New for 2020!
This new, interactive Zoo Explorers program will focus on one unifying topic for each series. During the Spring series, your child will discover how animals are classified. Scientists love to study animals and through grouping them together by similarities it is easy to see how animals are closely related to each other or completely different! Through up-close animal encounters, behind the scenes adventures and hands-on activities your child will see first-hand how and why animals are grouped together.
THIS MONTH’S TOPIC: MAMMALS
Some of the largest animals on the planet are mammals! Join us in the final program of the animal classification series to see some of them up close! As we explore the Zoo we’ll see the largest land mammal, and study the features that make mammals so unique. We will also have special encounters with some of the Zoo’s smaller ambassador mammals in our private Zoo classroom.
