Young Explorers – Fall Series – Hibernation Station
Sunday, November 10, 2019
9:00 am — 11:00 am
New for 2019!
This new, interactive Young Explorers program will focus on one unifying topic for each series. During the Fall series, your child will discover how animals sleep. Some animals are just like us and sleep at night, others only are active at night and some sleep all winter. Through up-close animal encounters, behind the scenes adventures and hands-on activities your child will see first-hand which sleeping schedules the animals in the wild use to survive.
Register for one or come to ALL the programs within the series for the maximum adventure!
THIS MONTH’S TOPIC:
We are finishing off this Young Explorer Series focusing on different types of dormancy in animals. We will find out what can affect dormancy patterns, and meet some animal ambassadors up close! From hibernation and brumation, to estivation, your child will be an expert on animals that slow down in different seasons or for different reasons.
