Welcome Plaza Improvements

Our New Welcome Plaza Opens to Fun, Fur, and Feathers

The Zoo’s new Welcome Plaza is open and more inviting than ever before! Trees, planters, and colorful tiles line the Welcome Plaza. There is plenty of shade, room to sit, and a decorative new iron gate to enjoy in this newly renovated space. The iconic Reid Park Zoo peacock statue is proudly displayed for photos commemorating your Zoo visit. A pop of color greets guests as they take their first steps into the Zoo and set their eyes on the brand new Flamingo Lagoon.
