Recycle Your Old Lights and Be Energy Savvy This Holiday Season
As part of our conservation efforts, Reid Park Zoo strives to use energy-efficient LED lights throughout ZooLights and actively engages in recycling and green practices to reduce our carbon footprint. You can get involved too. We are taking guest donations of string lights this holiday season (Dec-Jan) for recycling by Recyco Inc. Bring in your old, broken or nonfunctioning bulbs to donate and receive $1 off gate admission. We also encourage you to use energy-efficient LED lights in your home and in your own holiday decorations this season.
