Summer Safari Nights 2023

Get a lion’s share of the fun with Reid Park Zoo’s Summer Safari Nights on Saturday evenings!
Come to Summer Safari Nights, Presented by TMC Healthcare, and enjoy the Zoo in the cooler evening hours! Each week will feature keeper chats about different animal rock stars — plus animal encounters, artifact stations, giraffe feedings, carousel rides, crafts and games. Face painting and glitter tattoos will be available for purchase. Refresh with dinner and a cold drink at the Flamingo Grill, listen to live music by some of Tucson’s best bands. Take a ride on the Cox Jungle Carousel, and play games with Tucson Parks and Recreation’s ‘Ready, Set, Rec! There will be a different featured “Rock Star Animal” each week, so every visit brings something new and plenty of photo opportunities to remember a great evening.

- $10.50 for adults (ages 15-61)
- $8.50 seniors (ages 62+)

Entertainment by Vinyl Grooves. Music from the ’60s, ’70s & ’80s.
Special visit from intergalactic characters and superheroes. See the stars in a portable planetarium.
June 17: Giraffe
Entertainment by Dry Wash Anglers. An entertaining mix of Classic Country and Bluegrass.

June 24: Chilean Flamingo and Aviaries
Entertainment by After 7. Live music featuring a harmony-driven blend of Rock, Country, and Pop to get you moving!
July 1: Grevy’s Zebra
Entertainment by Steve Kozachik. Folk-rock acoustic with selections from bands such as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, James Taylor and Gordon Lightfoot.
July 8: African Lion
Entertainment by Leila Lopez. Music is influenced by everything from old Classic Rock, to Folk and Jazz.
Special visit from intergalactic characters.
July 15: Snake, American Alligator
Entertainment by Freddy Parish. A mix of Bluegrass and Country.

May 27: The monkeys featuring the Squirrel Monkeys.
Entertainment by Dos Suenos. They specialize in instrumental/vocal covers of songs in many genres including Pop, Rock, Indie and Jazz.
