September 5: Closure for Employee Wellness Day

On Tuesday, September 5, we will be closing the Zoo for the day for an Employee Wellness Day. The Zoo will reopen the following day for regular hours.
Members of the Zoo Team will be spending time enjoying the Zoo with a focus on relaxation activities, and fun — a time to refresh and recharge! Everyday members of the Zoo team work hard to make everyone’s visit memorable, and the animals are uniquely stimulating enrichments. We’re closing the Zoo for a day to give our team their enrichment: relaxing time, a cookout, and gifts to show our appreciation.
The Zoo’s furry, scaly, and feathered residents will still experience the same exceptional attention, nutritional meals, and stimulating enrichment as they are accustomed to receiving.
Reid Park Zoo will reopen to the public with normal hours (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) on Wednesday, September 6.
