Party for the Planet – Bike to the Zoo

Join us for a Party for the Planet at the Zoo on Earth Day – Saturday, April 20! Approximately 130 zoos and aquariums accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) are joining together for the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America—the 13th Annual Party For the Planet™!
Guests will enjoy a variety of conservation-themed activities and informational displays from 9-11:30 a.m. to help celebrate fun ways to help protect our environment. Activities are free with paid admission to the Zoo.
Activities will include:
- Nature Play
- Anteater conservation activity
- Climate change activity
- Squirrel monkey activity
- Plant raffle (courtesy of Nighthawk Natives Nursery)
- Animal presentations/encounters
- Go Green Starter Kits will be available for sale by the Zoo Crew to help you reduce your use of single-use plastic, proceeds support the teen volunteer’s conservation fund.
Check the event board when you arrive for times and locations for all of the day’s special activities.
Pedal your way to the Zoo for one free admission until Noon. Free admission is available until Noon to individuals who choose to leave their car at home and ride their bike to the Zoo. Valet bicycle parking inside the Zoo (available from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) is made possible by volunteers from the Greater Arizona Bicycling Association (GABA).
