Special Member Night at the Zoo! Bring a blanket, kick back on the soft grass in the Zoo’s Event Garden, and enjoy Lion King with your family.

The Lion King tells the story of Simba, a young lion who is to succeed his father, Mufasa, as King of the Pride Lands. However, Simba’s uncle Scar (Mufasa’s jealous brother), leads Mufasa and Simba into a stampede. Simba thinks he was responsible and flees into exile. He then grows up under the guidance of Timon and Pumba, and is given a valuable perspective from his childhood friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, all before returning to challenge Scar to end his evil rule and take his place in the Circle of Life as the rightful King.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.; movie begins approximately at 7:15 p.m. Come early and buy dinner or snacks at our Zoofari Cafe. Meet our lion Zoo Keeper and learn about the lions at Reid Park Zoo. You can also enjoy crafts, face painting, a visit to the Gift Shop and more.

Free to members (limited space available) – but registration is required to attend.
