First Responders Day 2024

To celebrate and honor the dedication of our first responders, Reid Park Zoo is teaming up with the Erik Hite Foundation to offer a special admission discount on Saturday, September 28 for First Responders Day. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. first responders can present their badge or payment stub to receive $1 admission into the Zoo, as well as share this $1 per person admission with up to five family members. Enjoy a relaxing day at the Zoo!

First responders include: firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, coast guard, investigators and crime technicians, 911 personnel, corrections officers, and intelligence personnel.

First responders and their families can enter by presenting a badge or payment stub as a form of ID.  We understand that the demanding work of first responders can sometimes limit their ability to attend events with their families. With a badge or payment stub, first responders do not need to be present for their families to enjoy this special day.
