Reid Park Zoo will be closed on Tuesday, September 1, for Employee Wellness Day and reopen on Wednesday, September 2, for normal hours from 8 a.m. – 2 p .m. All of the animals at the Zoo will still experience the same exceptional care, nutritious meals, and special enrichment they are accustomed to receiving.

As a way to support the hard working individuals who make the Zoo run, we’re providing an opportunity to our staff to rest and rejuvenate with relaxing activities.

“Staff throughout the Zoo are dedicated and give their all each day to provide outstanding care for the animals and to deliver a quality experience for our guests,” says Nancy Kluge, Reid Park Zoological Society President and CEO. “Wellness Day is a time that we set aside to focus on the important well-being of our team, providing a chance to unwind, refresh, and spend some time together enjoying the Zoo.”
