It’s CATURDAY, Saturday!

Enjoy presentations and keeper chats while you learn more about your favorite cats- and meerkats! – at Reid Park Zoo.

Each week will feature a different cat – or meer”kat”. Learn about them from the person that knows them best – the Zoo Keeper. Watch the featured animal enjoy enrichment, get questions answered by staff and volunteers, visit a craft table, and, get a temporary “CATtoo.” Each Saturday features additional activities and fun (see below and more information on their event page).

Caturday Saturday activities begin at 9:30 a.m. with Keeper Chat.

September 2: African Lion & Teddy Bear Clinic – bring your favorite cat stuffed toy for a vet check-up from 9 – 11 a.m.

September 9: Meer”kat” & Nature Club in our Event Gardens from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

September 16: Tiger & a visit from U of A’s Wilbur & Wilma Wildcat

September 23: African Lion & World Rhino Day. Activities for World Rhino Day include crafts and fun activities from 9 – 11 a.m.

Zoo Members – there will be a free showing of the Lion King in our event gardens on the evening of September 23rd. More details to follow. Not a member? Join here.
