Zoo Gift Ideas For The Season Of Giving

A Season Of Giving

With visions of holiday shopping dancing through your head, see how you can bring a smile to an animal lover in your life while supporting Reid Park Zoo.

Enjoying ZooLights: Holiday Magic can be the present that comes without ribbons, tags, packages, boxes or bags. Spend quality time with your loved ones as you visit with Santa, sip hot cocoa, play in the snow, and enjoy thousands of mesmerizing lights. With entertainment from local bands and groups, there is something for even the Grinch in your family to enjoy!

  • Support local artisans during our Holiday Bazaar Nights: December 17, 18, 21, and 22. You’ll find something for everyone on your list!

Fulfill A Wish From Our Enrichment Tree to capture the spirit of passing joy on! Our animal care team has compiled a list of enrichment items the Zoo animals will love. You can stop by the Enrichment Tree in the Conservation Learning Center and grab an ornament for details on the animals’ holiday wish lists. Or, if you prefer to do your holiday shopping online, check out our Gift Hero or Amazon wishlist. The joy you can see as the animals partake in the fun, and then those who enjoy watching the animals play with their treats will continue on and on!

For The Environmentally Conscious, consider contributing in their name for conservation initiatives they respect. With help determining projects that help protect wild animals in wild places around the world, check out Reid Park Zoo’s conservation partners as a jumping off point. Select “Conservation” when making a donation.

Give The Gift Of Your Time to help make the season bright. Offer to join with a friend to embark on a volunteer journey, and learn from folks about animal care, conservation, and education. Volunteering with the Zoo can be a great activity for anyone, with our youngest volunteers being  11-years-old (with an 18+ adult), many of our volunteers feel young at heart. Each day brings new experiences, new people, and new life-long connections with the animals!

Take Them On An Adventure To Start The New Year with one of our behind-the-scenes tours. With opportunities to meet with giraffes, Aldabra tortoises, and African elephants, oh my! Registration is required for each unique adventure.

Remember Loved Ones By Cementing Your Brick into the foundation of the Zoo! Our Bigger Spaces, Smiling Faces Capital Campaign allows you to leave your mark for yourself or a loved one with a brick that you personalized. This program helps ensure Reid Park Zoo will be a part of the Tucson community for generations to come.

It’s truly humbling to be a part of your heartfelt generosity towards another, and of this supportive community! Thank you!
