Save Taxes and Help Reid Park Zoo
Looking to make a difference for Reid Park Zoo and the animals, and save on your taxes at the same time? Consider a gift from your IRA.
If you are age 70 ½ or older, you may be able to lower income and taxes from your IRA withdrawals.
Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover or Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD):
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $105,000 from your IRA to our organization
- May satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Make a difference for Reid Park Zoo!
Here’s how it works:
- Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA to Reid Park Zoological Society.
- Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to our organization to help continue our important work.
- Please note that since IRA rollover gifts don’t count as income, they do not qualify for a charitable deduction.
- Please contact us if you would wish for your gift to be used for a specific purpose.
For more information or to make a charitable gift, contact Nancy Kluge, President & CEO, or Gail Brown, Chief Development Officer, at 520-881-4753 or email development@reidparkzoo.org. Thank you for your support!
Please note this is a time sensitive transaction. If the IRA charitable rollover is intended to satisfy your required minimum distribution for the current year, verify with your custodian that this transaction will be completed prior to December 31.
