Rhino Enrichment!

Today we’re Bringing the Zoo to You with a look at some new rhino enrichment!

Maintenance staff recently installed a pole just outside of our rhinoceros habitat that allows animal care staff to hang items for our rhinos to interact with. Providing items in this new way is enriching for the rhinos and allows them to use natural behaviors like browsing and rubbing.

This video shows Fireball the rhino interacting with this new device in order to consume some fresh browse!
