Reid Park Zoo Spends the Day Cleaning Up Reid Park
We Teamed Up to Clean Up!
Reid Park Zoo staff recently had the opportunity to get out and give back by cleaning up litter around Reid Park! With the help of Tucson Clean and Beautiful we gathered our trash-pickers and bags and spent a morning collecting all of the litter we could find. Together we filled up 10 large bags of trash from all areas of the park including the ponds, shuffleboard courts, ramadas, parking lots, and more. The most common litter items we found included cigarette butts, pieces of balloons, confetti, and candy.
Picking up trash in your neighborhood can be a great way to beautify your community, protect wildlife, and spend time outdoors with your friends!
