Penzi at 3 Months

Penzi has been busy with her family, practicing all the skills she will need later in life: keeping up with the herd, splashing in the mud, and using her trunk to pick up hay and grass. Penzi is trying — but has not mastered — dusting herself. The vet and elephant team are pleased with her progress, as she has been gaining weight and no longer has diarrhea! Penzi is high energy and lots of nursing as a young calf should. Our vet awaits a few more lab results, but will be sharing her full story soon!
