New Chilean Flamingo Chick Hatched in November

Good flamingo‘Tis the season for flamingo chicks! This fuzzy little one hatched just before Thanksgiving, joining sister Alice (hatched in October) as the youngest members of the flock. Wild Chilean flamingos nest at high altitudes, so these birds are naturally adapted for cold temperatures. On chilly nights at the Zoo, the young flamingos’ parents huddle around them to keep them warm.
