Lion “Kitabu” dies on 10/7/10
The Zoo is sad to announce the death of male African lion “Kitabu” after a noticable decline in his health over the last two days. Kitabu suffered a stroke in February, but was able to enjoy a few more months of good health thanks to the efforts of the Zoo’s Keepers and veterinary staff. Kitabu was born at Reid Park Zoo and was 18 years old at the time of his death.
