Happy 47th Birthday, Yebonga!

Today is a very special birthday for one of the animals at the Zoo: Yebonga the southern white Rhino is 47 years old!

Yebgona is a geriatric rhino who is now 16 years older than the median life expectancy for her species! Her animal care team keeps her habitat enriched with lots of opportunities to browse and smells to investigate. Dina, one of the rhino keepers, says Yebonga is always interested in investigating her habitat when pungent smells like patchouli and lemongrass are present!
