Flamingo Chick Hatched 8-22-12

The Zoo is thrilled to announce the arrival of a fluffy Chilean flamingo chick! Hatched on 8/22/12, this chick is the first flamingo born at Reid Park Zoo since 1997. Zoo Keepers–and its parents–will watch it carefully during its first fragile few weeks.
