Fall Featured Program: Family Flashlight Safari Overnight on Oct. 5

sleepover 2Have you even wondered what happens in the Zoo at night, when no one’s around?  Here’s your chance to find out!  On Saturday, October 5, the Zoo will be hosting a campout for families with kids ages 5 and up—and it’ll be a night to remember.  We’ll have the Event Garden open from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for families to set up their camps and enjoy a picnic dinner (the Zoo’s restaurant won’t be open for this event, so please bring your own).  Families should also bring their own tent (we will have a limited number of tents available for rental), sleeping bags, and toothbrushes.  We’ll provide flashlights, an evening snack, and a continental breakfast the next morning, as well as an action-packed evening of activities!  We’ll tour through the Zoo, meet some of our demonstration animals, and go on a scavenger hunt.  In the morning, we’ll wake up early for breakfast and a Behind the Scenes tour before leaving the Zoo at 8:00 a.m.sleepover 1

The price for this unique program is $50.00 per person, or $40.00 per person if you’re members of the Zoo.  Pre-registration is required—register early to reserve your spot!  We’re happy to answer any questions you have about the event—just email us at zooeducation@tucsonaz.gov.  We hope to see you in October!
