Expedition Tanzania

The Zoo is currently in the planning stages for a new African Exhibit, titled Expedition Tanzania, which will be the largest expansion in the Zoo’s history. The Zoo’s elephants will soon be exploring a three acre habitat with pools and streams to swim and wade in, mud wallows, sandy hills, and logs to play with. The exhibit will even allow for the herd to expand – up to 6 animals!

Elephant exhibits in AZA-accredited zoos help educate visitors, make emotional connections, and change behaviors that positively impact elephants and other wildlife conservation. We look forward to welcoming YOU to Expedition Tanzania.
