A Brave Lion…finally
Although Shombay, our new male lion, has had access to his exhibit for several weeks, today (1/20/11) is the first day he has been brave enough to remain out in the open after sighting the first Zoo visitor…or a squirrel, or a falling leaf. Keepers are thrilled that their patience is finally paying off, allowing Shombay to decide on his own that he’s safe on exhibit. We hope to see a lot more of him from now on!
