Take a ride on one of the Zoo’s charismatic camels! You can purchase rides right at the camel platform; the price is $7 per person. Camel rides are currently available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – Noon, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Get the details here.
The Reid Park Zoo Express train is located just outside the front gate of the Zoo. Each ride is $2, and multi-ride tickets are available. The train runs during most business hours, depending on visitation levels.
Kenya Get Wet:
Bring a towel! This interactive wet play area is generally open daily, but gates remain closed during cold weather, thunderstorms, and during peak school field trip hours.
The carousel is located in the Zoo’s front plaza, and features 30 different animal species from around the world. For just $3, you can ride a gibbon, anteater, or polar bear!
Always check the daily schedule at the Zoo gate for Keeper Chats, training demonstrations, and activities for kids. We provide lots of opportunities for guests to interact with staff and observe animals in a new way.
