Ugandan Orphans Choir
- Apr 5, 2014
- 10:30am & 1:00pm
The Zoo is excited to host the Ugandan Orphans Choir for two performances this Saturday, April 5. The first performance will be at 10:30am, and the second one will be at 1:00pm. Both performances will be in Expedition Tanzania, and are free with regular Zoo admission.
The Ugandan Orphans Choir consists of 10 sponsored orphans from the Ssese Islands in Uganda. These talented children delight audiences all across the country with authentic African tribal drumming, dancing and singing. They bring a little bit of their culture wherever they go as they perform traditional African folk songs. The choir has performed at churches, schools, Disneyland, pro-sports events, on television, and even on the steps of the White House. The Children’s infectious energy is a joy to behold and will no doubt leave a lasting impression long after their performance is over!
