Construction is well underway for the Zoo’s Expedition Tanzania expansion project!  Ariel photographer Ron McCoy took these photos of the construction site in late February. [nggallery id=40]

The Zoo welcomes its newest residents, a pair of sarus cranes! Native to India, the sarus crane is the world’s tallest flying bird. The Zoo’s cranes made their exhibit debut last week, and their unique trumpeting call can now be heard throughout the Zoo.
