We are open New Years Eve and New Years Day!

There’s no better way to celebrate the New Year than a visit to Reid Park Zoo with the family! We’ll be open during our regular hours (9am to 4pm) on New Years Eve and New Years day, so come say “Hi!” to your favorite animals and wish them a Happy New Year.

Zoo Lights is back on for Friday, Dec. 17, 2010

Zoo Saddened by Loss of Polar Bear on 12/10/10

Reid Park Zoo mourns the unexpected loss of 11-year-old polar bear “Boris.”  He died Friday evening, following a routine medical procedure earlier that day.  The exact cause of death is still unknown, although the Zoo’s veterinarian suspects a reaction to the anesthesia.  Supportive comments, memories, and photos of Boris can be posted on the Zoo’s… read more

Zoo Teens create a website for Polar Bears!
