There’s no better way to celebrate the New Year than a visit to Reid Park Zoo with the family! We’ll be open during our regular hours (9am to 4pm) on New Years Eve and New Years day, so come say “Hi!” to your favorite animals and wish them a Happy New Year.
Now that the rain has stopped, Zoo Lights will be in full swing tonight, 12/17/10. We hope you’ll come enjoy the lights, entertainment, refreshments, and a visit with Santa!

Reid Park Zoo mourns the unexpected loss of 11-year-old polar bear “Boris.” He died Friday evening, following a routine medical procedure earlier that day. The exact cause of death is still unknown, although the Zoo’s veterinarian suspects a reaction to the anesthesia.
